Getting started
- No. Each plan includes a monthly submission allowance. Free includes 50 per month; paid plans include more. We notify you and pause new submissions at the limit instead of billing per response.
- Not at all. If you can fill in a form, you can build one. AI and templates do the heavy lifting.
- In the EU (Germany), encrypted, and yours to export or delete anytime.
- Yes. Shared inboxes, roles, comments, and approvals on team plans.
- A form collects; a survey asks in depth; a funnel guides people step by step to convert. Use whichever fits. They all live in one workspace.
- Yes, right inside a form or funnel.
- Absolutely. See the Developers page
General
- Formspring is a secure response desk for forms, surveys, and funnels, alongside short links, polls, bookings, and bio pages. It stores submissions, filters spam, routes follow-up work, and keeps delivery history in one place.
- Anything that can POST. Snippets ship for HTML, React, Vue, Next.js, Astro, SvelteKit, Nuxt, vanilla JS, Python, PHP, and Ruby.
Billing
- No. The Free plan never asks for one. Payment details are only entered when upgrading.
- Yes. Cancel from the billing page; we prorate to the day. No retention calls, no exit fees.
- Formspring notifies you and pauses new submissions until the next month or until you upgrade. Existing data is never deleted. Over-quota submissions return HTTP 402 so your client knows the response was not accepted.
Data protection
- Submissions and files live in our primary EU region by default. Files are stored in private, encrypted object storage. Contact us for region-specific deployments on Team plans.
- Yes. The AVV/DPA is published at /dpa, with sub-processors listed separately for procurement and GDPR reviews.
Migration
- Drop-in replacement for the action URL. Most teams migrate by swapping the form's action attribute. Existing webhook receivers keep working with industry-standard HMAC-SHA256 headers.
- On Team plans you can serve the ingestion endpoint from a CNAME of your own domain, useful for branded URLs and stricter Content Security Policy setups.
