Open a page on the web

How the Formspring app hands you to the web for desktop builders, billing, and setup pages, then brings you back.

Updated . 2 min read.

Some work is better on a big screen: designing a page on a free-form canvas, changing your plan, or setting up domains and single sign-on. When you reach one of those in the app, it opens the right page in your phone's browser and signs you in there, so you do not log in twice.

How it works

  1. In the app, choose the action that needs the web (for example a builder's desktop design view, Billing and usage, or the client portal settings).
  2. Your browser opens on that page, already signed in.
  3. When you are done, choose Back to the app on the page.

The sign-in link is single use and works for about a minute, so open it straight away. If it expires, go back to the app and choose the action again.

Good to know

  • Only certain pages can be opened this way. If a page is not allowed, the app says it could not open it.
  • Sensitive pages, such as billing, may ask you to confirm your sign-in again first.
  • The web session is short. When it ends, you return to the app to carry on.
  • The page still follows your role: you only see what your workspace role allows.

What the app edits itself

You do not need the web for everyday changes. The app has structured editors for forms, surveys, funnels, polls, links, and Bio pages - blocks, text, and shared brand colors, fonts, and logo - and you can publish from the phone. Free-form visual design and large layouts are the part that opens on the web.
