Set up Bookings with the wizard

Walk through the guided setup to create and publish your first booking page in a few minutes.

Updated . 2 min read.

The first time you choose New booking page and have no booking pages yet, Formspring opens a guided setup called Set up bookings. It creates your first page and publishes it at the end. Every step except the first and last can be skipped, and you can change everything later.

The steps

The progress bar shows five stages: About you, Calendar, Availability, Location, and Share.

  1. Welcome - choose whether you will use Bookings On my own or With my team, tick what you want to do (for example Schedule meetings or Collect payment), then name your first scheduling link. Enter a Meeting name and Meeting length (minutes). Choose Continue.
  2. What is your role? - pick the closest role to tailor your setup, or choose Skip for now.
  3. Set which calendars we use - connect Google Calendar or add a read-only iCal feed so nobody can book you over an existing event. You can Skip for now and connect later.
  4. When are you available to meet? - set your Time zone and the weekly hours people can book. Busy events from your connected calendar are taken out automatically. Choose Continue to location, or skip and set it later under Availability.
  5. How would you like to meet with people? - choose Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Phone call, On site, or Custom, and add the detail if needed. Choose Publish and continue.
  6. You're ready to share your link - copy your link, or choose Customize design, Edit settings, or Go to bookings.

Good to know

  • The wizard publishes your page when you finish the location step. If you leave earlier, the page is saved as a draft.
  • If you skip the calendar step, only your weekly hours limit when people can book - existing appointments on your calendar are not checked until you connect one.
  • Once you have a booking page, New booking page opens a simpler create form instead of the wizard.
